Business OS — Terms of use and Data processing notice

Version 2026-10-v1 · applies to every business that creates an account on Business OS (Biz OS), the platform run by ProFix.

Draft for review. These terms are written in plain words and still need a check by a lawyer before the platform opens to the public.

Terms of use

1. Who we are

Business OS ("Biz OS", "the service") is business software for repair and retail shops in India, made by ProFix — billing, repairs, stock, purchase, people and books. It is run by HappyLoka Studio, Coimbatore ("we"). "You" means the business that signs up and the people it lets use its account.

2. Your account

3. Trial and plans

4. Your data is yours

Everything your business enters — customers, bills, repairs, stock, staff records — belongs to your business. You can download it at any time with the app's export tools. We use it only to run the service for you, as the notice below explains.

5. Fair use

6. Service and changes

We work to keep the service running and your data backed up, but the service is provided "as is" and may sometimes be unavailable. We may improve or change features; we will tell you in the app before a change that takes away something you pay for.

7. Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profit. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

8. Ending the account

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to close the account. We may close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why. After closing, we keep your data for 30 days so you can download it, then delete it, except what the law requires us to keep.

9. Law

These terms follow the laws of India. Courts in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, will decide any dispute.

Data processing notice

This notice follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Two kinds of data

2. Why we use your account data

We do not sell personal data and we do not show advertising.

3. Where data is kept

Data is stored with our hosting providers (Supabase for the database and files, Cloudflare for the website and app delivery), with access limited to what is needed to run the service. Each business can see only its own data.

4. Your duties for your customers' data

Before you store a customer's details, tell them what you keep and why, and get consent where the law needs it. The app records consent for WhatsApp messages and reminders. Delete or correct a customer's data when they ask, using the app's tools.

5. How long we keep it

Account data is kept while the account is open and for 30 days after closing; bills and tax records are kept as long as Indian law requires.

6. Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or name someone to act for you. Write to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Changes to this notice

When this notice or the terms change, the app shows the new version and asks you to accept it again.
